Pyramids of Giza, Cairo, Egypt

" It was a beautiful morning, around ten o'clock, as Wally and I headed out across the dessert behind the pyramids to find a good spot for this panorama. There was a cool, almost chilly breeze blowing over the sand dunes and the winter morning sunlight made for excellent lighting. I waited till the camel train was up over the hill to add some interestingness to the pano. There's lots of camels in this part of Egypt, out in the dessert and in town. The Sphinx is not visible in this panorama as you can see, as it is around on the front side of the pyramids. From there you cannot see the full pyramids as you can from here". Gideon Stoltzfus
